Polish President Duda commemorates victims of the Katyn Massacre
Warsaw, April 13 (Hibya) – Polish President Andrzej Duda commemorated the victims of the Katyn Massacre in a message he published.
President Duda recalled that nearly 22,000 officers, officials, doctors, teachers, and members of the nation's elite were brutally murdered by the Soviets.
He stated that "their only crime was loyalty to Poland," and added: "For decades, the communists systematically suppressed the truth about Katyn, and the perpetrators of this massacre were never punished! As we remember the murdered, we honor their dignity, determination, and patriotism. May the Katyn Massacre Remembrance Day unite us Poles in reflection on the price of freedom."
