Plenkovic meets EU Commission President von der Leyen
Banski Dvor, January 30 (Hibya) – Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
Croatian Prime Minister Plenkovic said that they met at Banski Dvori with Commission President von der Leyen, with whom they continue cooperation for the benefit of Croatia and the European Union.
Emphasizing the importance of expanding the capacity of the LNG terminal in Krk and the JANAF oil pipeline in the context of energy security and creating alternative supply routes instead of purchasing energy from Russia, Plenkovic said: “We pledged further support for Ukraine, which defends its freedom, security, and the democratic values of all of Europe.”
Plenkovic added that they also discussed the EU’s enlargement policy in terms of strengthening the Union’s global role and the stability of the neighboring regions.
