Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic announced that 57 apartments in three newly built residential buildings in the city of Sisak have been handed over to their beneficiaries.

Plenkovic said that a total of 57 multi-storey residential buildings have so far been completed in the Sisak-Moslavina County, with the project's value reaching approximately €30 million. He added that the work demonstrates the government's commitment to rebuilding the earthquake-affected region.

He noted that citizens whose homes have not yet been rebuilt are being provided with suitable housing free of rent, while operating costs are also subsidized. Plenkovic stressed that support will continue in order to minimize the hardships faced by those affected.

The prime minister stated that a total of €5 billion has been invested over the past six years to accelerate post-earthquake reconstruction.

He said that €3 billion of that amount was allocated to Zagreb, while €2 billion was earmarked for Banovina and other earthquake-affected areas.

Thanking all institutions and stakeholders involved in the project, Plenkovic also expressed gratitude for the patience and trust shown by citizens, saying that reconstruction efforts will continue with determination until they are fully completed.
