Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for urgent international intervention in Gaza
Ramallah, September 16 (Hibya) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community for extraordinary and urgent intervention to protect civilians in Gaza City. The ministry described the failure of international diplomacy to stop the war as “shocking and unacceptable.”
The statement noted that the occupation government’s glorification of its aggression against Gaza, and the fact that hundreds of thousands of Palestinian civilians face the threat of death and displacement, is considered a deliberate attack on civilians and an attempt to turn Gaza into a mass grave. It was emphasized that around one million Palestinians have been forced to migrate in an environment surrounded by death.
The ministry called for an immediate end to the war, the protection of civilians, the prevention of displacement, the release of hostages and detainees, and the sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid. It stated that these steps must be supported by political and diplomatic solutions within the framework of the New York Declaration.
