Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed developments in Palestine during a telephone conversation.

According to a statement by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two ministers expressed deep concern over the deteriorating situation in Palestine.

During the call, they condemned the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, the increase in settler violence, and violations targeting the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem.

The two ministers stressed the need for an immediate end to all hostilities, the unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance, and full compliance with international law.

The discussion also covered Jordan's proposal to convene a meeting of Arab and Islamic countries to coordinate diplomatic efforts in support of the Palestinian people.

The foreign ministers of Pakistan and Egypt also exchanged views on regional developments, emphasizing the importance of restraint, dialogue, and diplomacy to prevent further escalation and preserve regional peace and stability.
