Orban: Egypt is vital for Europe’s stability
Cairo, November 2 (Hibya) – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, during his meeting in Cairo with the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, stated that relations between the two countries have reached a new level and highlighted Egypt’s role in global peace efforts.
Prime Minister Orban met with President El-Sisi in Cairo and wrote on social media that Egypt is an important ally in combating illegal migration.
“The stability of Egypt is vital not only for Hungary but for all of Europe. Following today’s discussions, we are taking Hungary–Egypt cooperation to a new level,” Orban said.
He added that the meeting reaffirmed the indispensable role of Egypt and President El-Sisi in the global peace network: “Egypt, which was among the first to recognize the potential of U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace efforts, played a leading role in Middle East peace initiatives, facilitating the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit and contributing to ending the conflicts in Gaza.”
Orban also expressed that he looks forward to hosting President El-Sisi in Budapest next year.
