New Zealand PM Luxon: We’ve reduced wasteful public spending
Wellington, April 17 (Hibya) – New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon said they have reduced wasteful public spending and are now focusing on growth to create more jobs and raise wages.
Luxon noted that inflation stands at 2.5%, well below the previous 7.3%, and within the target range.
“Our economic plan is working. We’ve cut wasteful public spending and are now turning toward growth to create jobs and increase wages,” he said.
Luxon added that helping New Zealanders move forward by managing the cost of living and the economy is his top priority.
