Netanyahu to visit White House on Monday
Washington, April 6 (Hibya) – A White House official confirmed that President Donald Trump will host Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Monday.
This visit, Netanyahu’s second this year, follows an earlier visit in February just weeks after Trump took office.
On Thursday, Trump told reporters that he had spoken with Netanyahu and that the Prime Minister would visit "in the not-too-distant future."
The visit comes at a time when Israel is facing a 17% "retaliatory tariff" from the U.S. as part of the President's global tariff policy.
Israel has also resumed air and ground operations in Gaza following the collapse of ceasefire negotiations. Trump indicated Thursday that Gaza is "a big problem" and that he would discuss the matter with Netanyahu.
“We’ll talk about what’s going on — it’s another issue we want to resolve,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Thursday.
