Tehran, July 6 (Hibya) - Tens of thousands of people attended mourning ceremonies held for Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. During the two-day memorial program that began in Tehran, citizens from across the country gathered to pay their final respects to their leader.

The ceremonies were held at the Mosalla Prayer Hall. Mourners carried portraits of Khamenei and Iranian flags while expressing their emotions and chanting various slogans. Participants emphasized that Khamenei had played an important role in the country's security and stability.
At the ceremony site, alongside Khamenei's body, were also the bodies of four of his family members who were reported to have been killed in a U.S.-Israeli attack at the end of February.
As part of the mourning program, numerous Iranian officials as well as foreign guests paid condolence visits. A large funeral procession is expected to take place in Tehran on Monday following the ceremonies.
Participants stated that Khamenei had guided the country during his leadership and that his legacy should be preserved for future generations.
The ceremonies were marked by emotional moments, with many expressing that the loss of their leader had caused deep sorrow across the country.
