Kassandra, August 15 (Hibya) - Moldova's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Moldovan firefighters took part in efforts to combat a wildfire that broke out in the Siviri area of Kassandra, in Greece's Halkidiki region.

In a statement, Moldova's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Moldovan team was working alongside Greek firefighters within the framework of the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism.
The teams were reported to be continuing their efforts to bring active fire fronts under control and protect residential areas.
The statement said Moldova is ready to support friendly countries in times of crisis.
