Istanbul, April 8 (Hibya) – US stock markets closed the day with a mixed performance, while the volatility index increased.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) fell by 0.18 percent to 46,584.46 points. In contrast, the S&P 500 rose by 0.08 percent to 6,616.85 points, while the Nasdaq increased by 0.10 percent to 22,017.85 points.
The Russell 2000 index also rose by 0.17 percent to 2,544.95 points.
The VIX index increased by 6.66 percent to 25.78.
