U.S. technology stocks showed a mixed performance during the trading session, while selling pressure in the artificial intelligence and semiconductor sectors led to notable losses, particularly in Nvidia shares.

The most notable move of the day was seen in Nvidia shares. The company's stock fell 4.99 percent to $196.51. Increasing profit-taking in the semiconductor sector and valuation debates surrounding artificial intelligence investments intensified selling pressure on the stock.

In contrast, Alphabet (Google) shares outperformed. The stock price rose 2.13 percent to $326.56, supported by investor optimism regarding the company's growth outlook.

Shares of electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla declined 1.22 percent to $309.22, while Amazon shares slipped 0.31 percent to trade at $231.39.

In the social media and digital advertising segment, Meta Platforms shares fell 0.22 percent to $593.87, while Netflix shares gained 0.44 percent to $70.40, ending the day in positive territory.

Analysts noted that investors are focusing this week on the financial results of major technology companies and the messages expected from the Federal Reserve's policy meeting.

In particular, the impact of artificial intelligence investments on profitability and companies' statements regarding capital expenditures are expected to play a decisive role in the short-term direction of technology stocks.
