Major indices across Asia-Pacific markets traded mixed. While stock markets in Japan, Australia, and India declined, indices in Hong Kong and mainland China advanced.

In Australia, the ASX 200 index fell 0.63% to 8,748.40 points. In Japan, the Nikkei index declined 0.73% to 67,759.60 points, while India's Nifty 50 index dropped 0.61% to 24,249.05 points.

In contrast, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index (HSI) rose 2.38% to 24,057.24 points. China's Shanghai Composite Index also gained 0.52% to reach 4,011.05 points.

As a result, regional indices across Asian stock markets moved in different directions during the trading session.
