During the meeting, cooperation issues were discussed, particularly in the areas of technology, security, and defense. Meloni stated: “We reaffirmed full alignment on G7 priorities, including the resilience of critical mineral supply chains and the fight against migrant smuggling.”

Additionally, a “shared commitment to a just peace” in Ukraine was emphasized, along with the importance of ensuring stability in the Gulf and preserving freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. It was reported that the parties agreed to continue contacts ahead of the Evian Summit.
