French President Emmanuel Macron shared a message regarding the Russian strike on Sumy.

In his message, Macron stated:

"This morning, two Russian missiles struck the heart of the Ukrainian city of Sumy; many civilians, including children, lost their lives. Everyone knows this war was only wanted by Russia. Today, it is also clear that it is only Russia that has chosen to continue it. They act with complete disregard for human life, international law, and President Trump's diplomatic proposals. Strong measures must be taken to force Russia to accept a ceasefire. France is working tirelessly with its partners on this issue. To the victims, the injured, and all the people of Ukraine resisting: our solidarity, respect, and determination are with you."
