Macron: Peru can count on France's support
Paris, April 17 (Hibya) – French President Emmanuel Macron met with Peruvian President Dina Boluarte. Macron stated, “Peru can count on France's support to defend open seas, protect forests, and preserve the environment.”
President Macron announced that he had a meeting with Peruvian President Dina Boluarte.
He noted that during the meeting, they reiterated their desire to strengthen cooperation in areas such as defense, the fight against organized crime, critical metals, space, and infrastructure.
“There are many sectors our countries can build together. In an uncertain world that needs guidance more than ever, France fully supports Peru’s candidacy for OECD membership,” Macron said.
He added that the two countries are also working together to fight climate change and protect biodiversity:
“Peru can count on France’s support to defend open seas, protect forests, and preserve the environment. To continue this vital fight with determination, I plan to meet the President at the United Nations Ocean Conference to be held in Nice this June.”
