Lutnick: Trump administration supports economic growth
Washington, December 23 (Hibya) - U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick announced that, as a result of economic policies in the U.S., GDP grew by 4.3% in the third quarter.
U.S. Secretary of Commerce Lutnick stated that the 4.3% economic growth in the third quarter was a result of the Trump administration's economic policies.
Lutnick emphasized that tariffs have supported economic growth, created jobs, and increased American incomes, adding, "2026 will be even better. This is the Trump economy creating success across America."
Lutnick also noted that, in addition to strong consumer spending, there has been an increase in exports, and reducing imports has further accelerated the economy.
He pointed out that, thanks to tariffs and trade agreements, U.S. producers have opened up new markets that were previously inaccessible. "Americans are buying products made in the U.S. President Trump and the Republican Party understand the strength of our economy and are making it happen. I'm eagerly looking forward to 2026," he said.
