Dibeybe: This great loss is a deep wound for our country and our army
Tripoli, December 23 (Hibya) - Libyan Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdelhamid Dibeybe, announced that Libyan Chief of Staff General Mohamed el-Haddad and other senior military officials accompanying him died in a plane crash upon their return from Ankara.

Dibeybe also reported that in the crash, Commander of the Land Forces Major General el-Fituri Garibil, Head of the Military Industry Institution Brigadier General Mahmud el-Kutiwi, Chief of Staff Advisor Mohamed el-Asawi Diyab, and the photographer of the General Staff Press Office Mohamed Omer Ahmed Mahcub also lost their lives.
Dibeybe noted that this loss is very heavy for Libya, stating: "We have lost valuable individuals who served their country with loyalty and dedication, and were examples of discipline and responsibility."
Dibeybe conveyed his condolences to the families and comrades of the deceased.
