Lazzarini said that since the war began a year and a half ago, Israeli authorities have barred international journalists from entering Gaza to report independently.

He noted that this fuels propaganda, misinformation, and dehumanization, and said:

“Palestinian journalists continue to do heroic work at a heavy cost – 170 have been killed to date. Meanwhile, credible accounts from aid organizations and eyewitnesses are being discredited and questioned.”

Lazzarini emphasized that during conflict, the free flow of information and independent journalism are vital for truth and accountability, stating: “Gaza should not be an exception. It’s time for international media to be granted access.”
