Lahbib: The EU will deliver 100 tons of aid to fight Ebola
Brussels, May 25 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib provided information about the humanitarian aid sent to the Democratic Republic of Congo and the allocated budget in cooperation with the EU and UNICEF.

Referring to the details of the supplies to be delivered, Lahbib said, “Today’s EU and UNICEF Humanitarian Air Bridge will deliver 100 tons of aid to fight Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo: medicines, protective equipment, tents, and more.”
Highlighting the speed of the process and the scale of the financial support, Commissioner Lahbib stated, “We are moving quickly: the new 15 million euros in humanitarian aid announced on Friday comes in addition to the 87 million euros allocated this year for the Great Lakes region.”
