Lahbib: The EU must speak with one voice in these difficult times
Tallinn, August 11 (Hibya) - European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib said at the urgently convened Foreign Affairs Council on Ukraine and Gaza: “This is not the time for division, the EU must speak with one voice.”
Commissioner Lahbib announced that she attended the Foreign Affairs Council meeting, urgently convened by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas.
She noted that the meeting’s agenda included Ukraine and Gaza.
Lahbib stressed: “Without Ukraine, lasting peace is impossible,” adding that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is unbearable. The EU Commissioner urged: “This is not the time for division, the EU must speak with one voice.”
