Kallas warns on Chernobyl and Zaporizhzhia
Brussels, April 26 (Hibya) - European Commission Vice President Kaja Kallas made a statement on the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.
Kallas stated that despite 40 years having passed since the Chernobyl disaster, the risk still persists.
Describing attacks on the protective structure as “extremely irresponsible,” Kallas emphasized that Russia’s illegal control of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant poses a serious risk.
Kallas also said that, as in the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, Moscow continues to restrict access to information today.
