Kallas: Russia must end its aggression and accept a ceasefire
New York, September 23 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas said that 51 countries were united in their support for Ukraine at the UN General Assembly and called on Russia to accept a ceasefire.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas said in a statement at the UN General Assembly that 51 countries were aligned in their support for Ukraine.
Kallas said that Ukraine has accepted a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire since March 2025 and called on Russia to take the same step. Kallas said, “Ukraine wants peace. We want peace.”
Emphasizing that Russia must end its aggression and accept a ceasefire, Kallas called for meaningful participation in negotiations for a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in accordance with international law.
