Kallas: One-party rule is not the way forward for Tanzania
Brussels, November 2 (Hibya) – The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, said that the uncertainty and violence in Tanzania point to an extremely dangerous period.
Kaja Kallas stated that the uncertainty and violence in Tanzania indicate a very dangerous time and called on all parties to prevent further escalation of tensions.
She emphasized that authorities must exercise maximum restraint and respect the right to assembly, adding, “One-party rule is not the way forward for Tanzania.”
