Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Within the framework of the European Political Community (EPC) Summit held in Armenia’s capital Yerevan, leaders of many countries, including Germany, France, Italy, the United Kingdom and Türkiye, issued a joint statement on combating irregular migration.

According to the statement, the leaders reiterated their determination to act jointly by adopting a comprehensive approach along migration routes, combating human smuggling, strengthening return mechanisms and increasing border security.

The statement also emphasized the need to enhance cooperation with international organizations, develop humanitarian capacity, strengthen information sharing and take joint measures against the instrumentalization of migration.

Leaders underlined the importance of preparedness and coordination in light of the lessons learned from the 2015 migration crisis to prevent a similar situation from recurring. They also called for more effective action, including sanctions against smuggling networks.

It was announced that the next European Political Community Summit will be held in Ireland.
