Amsterdam, October 2 (Hibya) - Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten said the government will pave the way for an agreement between employers and employees on the future of the social security system, emphasizing economic stability and long-term investment.
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten made statements on the government’s social security and economic policies during his weekly press conference following the Council of Ministers meeting.
Jetten said the government would enable an agreement between employers and employees on the future of social security and the country’s capacity to generate income, stating, “We will look at how to preserve our social safety net for future generations as well and how we can help more people to work.”
Jetten said these steps would help provide the predictability and stability needed for long-term investment in the economy, adding, “In this way, we provide the predictability and stability needed for long-term investments in our economy.”
Jetten’s remarks at the press conference also covered the General Financial Debates in the House of Representatives and the government’s measures in the areas of social security, Box 3 and purchasing power.
