Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten made a statement regarding his meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Jetten said that Iran-US tensions were also discussed during the meeting and stated that diplomacy is the only path toward a sustainable solution.

Emphasizing that freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz is a non-negotiable principle for the Netherlands, Jetten said he expressed their position on the issue during the meeting.

Jetten also said that he conveyed his serious concerns over human rights violations in Iran to Pezeshkian and expressed his dissatisfaction with unacceptable Iranian actions carried out on Dutch territory.
