Israeli Prime Minister’s Office: Two-week ceasefire does not include Lebanon
Jerusalem, April 8 (Hibya) – The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office announced that it supports US President Donald Trump’s decision to suspend operations against Iran for two weeks, but stated that this support is conditional on Iran halting its attacks and immediately reopening the straits.
The statement emphasized a firm stance on regional security and nuclear threats.
It also highlighted full coordination with the Washington administration.
The statement said: “Israel supports President Trump’s decision to suspend attacks against Iran for two weeks, but this is conditional on Iran immediately opening the straits and stopping all attacks against the United States, Israel and countries in the region. Israel also supports US efforts to ensure that Iran no longer poses a nuclear, missile or terrorist threat.”
The statement added that the United States has informed Israel of its determination to achieve these goals and that the two-week ceasefire does not include Lebanon.
