Israeli President Herzog announced that he met with Thailand’s Ambassador, Pannabha Chandraramya, ahead of the release of five Thai citizens held hostage in Gaza: Thenna Pongsak, Sathian Suwannakham, Sriaoun Watchara, Seathao Bannawat, and Rumnao Surasak.

“We hope they find strength in their rehabilitation and recovery process and will soon be able to return home,” said Herzog, adding:

“I expressed to the ambassador our deep appreciation for the support and solidarity the Thai government has shown towards the State of Israel since October 7, and emphasized that we will continue to make every effort to bring back all hostages held by the Palestinian Islamic Movement, including three Thai citizens.”
