Israeli President Herzog meets with US Senator Ernst
Jerusalem, 23 January (Hibya) – Israeli President Isaac Herzog discussed developments in Gaza and regional security issues with United States Senator Joni Ernst.
President Herzog met with Senator Joni Ernst, who represents the US state of Iowa, following her Middle East tour.
During the meeting, developments regarding the next phase in Gaza and the importance of bringing home the last hostage, Staff Sergeant Ran Gvili, were assessed.
Herzog also drew attention to the situation of Kurds and Druze in Syria, stressing that the security of these groups should not be overlooked by the international community. Regional issues and current developments were also discussed.
