Israel: West Midlands Police’s Treatment of Maccabi Fans is Disgraceful
Jerusalem, January 7 (Hibya) - Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the behavior of the West Midlands Police toward Maccabi fans and highlighted the reality of antisemitism in the United Kingdom.
Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the West Midlands Police’s treatment of Maccabi fans “completely disgraceful.”
The Ministry’s statement said, “Israelis and Jews are scapegoated, while the real perpetrators—jihadi extremists seeking to harm Jews—are exonerated. This phenomenon is called antisemitism.”
The Ministry officials warned, “Unfortunately, this is the reality in the UK today. Immediate action must be taken against such acts and accountability must be demanded.”
