Ireland's Deputy Prime Minister Harris meets with Merz and Mitsotakis
Dublin, January 31 (Hibya) – Ireland's Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris met with Germany's Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Greece's Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris made a statement regarding his diplomatic contacts held this morning.
Harris said, “This morning I had two important meetings with Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz and Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis.”
Providing information on the scope of the meeting, Harris stated, “We discussed security and defense issues, housing problems facing cities across Europe, online security and social media regulations, and Ireland’s priorities during its EU Presidency in the second half of 2026.”
