Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi met with IAEA Director Grossi in Tehran
Tehran, April 17 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyid Abbas Araghchi met with Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi met with IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi, who was in Tehran to hold talks with Iranian officials.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the current state of technical cooperation and interaction between Iran and the IAEA.
Referring to Iran’s policy and its commitment to continue engagement and cooperation with the agency within the framework of international legal obligations, Araghchi emphasized that the IAEA must perform its professional and technical role without being influenced by unjust pressures from other parties.
The senior Iranian diplomat also stressed that the IAEA should adopt a clear and transparent stance on threats against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities.
Grossi, for his part, said he was pleased to have the opportunity to visit Tehran and underlined the importance of continuing interaction and cooperation between Iran and the agency, as well as consulting with other parties to create a suitable atmosphere for resolving existing issues.
