Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi criticizes Macron over alleged contradictions
Tehran, October 23 (Hibya) - Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi shared a speech delivered by French President Emmanuel Macron before the US Congress in 2018, claiming that it contradicted Macron's current positions.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi stated in a post on his social media account that French President Emmanuel Macron's position on Iran's nuclear program contained contradictions.
Araghchi reposted remarks made by Macron before the US Congress in 2018, arguing that the French president's positions were inconsistent. According to Araghchi, Macron had emphasized his commitment to the agreement by stating, "France will not leave the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), because we signed it."
Araghchi claimed that Macron was now adopting rhetoric opposing all of Iran's nuclear activities and sent the French president the message: "Get your story straight."
