According to a statement from the IDF, an attack was carried out in cooperation with the Internal Security Service against an individual located at a command and control center of the Palestinian Islamic Movement in the Jabalia area.

The statement indicated that this center was used by the individual to plan and carry out terrorist attacks against Israeli citizens and IDF forces:

“Prior to the attack, numerous precautions were taken to minimize civilian casualties, including the use of precision munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence. The IDF and Shin Bet will continue operations against the Palestinian Islamic Movement in order to protect the State of Israel.”
