IDF: Strikes are being carried out on Hezbollah launchers
Tel Aviv, March 17 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that an air operation has been launched against terrorist targets across Lebanon in response to rocket attacks carried out by Hezbollah against Israeli territory.
The IDF issued a statement regarding the attacks carried out from the Lebanese border in recent hours and the counter-operation that has been launched.
Providing details, the IDF said: "In recent minutes, the Hezbollah terrorist organization has launched rocket attacks toward various areas within the State of Israel."
The statement added that air operations in Lebanon are ongoing: "Alongside efforts to thwart launch attempts, the Air Force is currently striking additional Hezbollah launchers and infrastructure across Lebanon. Instructions from the Home Front Command must continue to be followed."
Emphasizing Israel’s determination to defend itself, the statement said: "The Israel Defense Forces will not allow harm to Israeli citizens and will respond forcefully to any threat against the State of Israel."
