Hungarian Prime Minister Orban: The EU must return to its roots
Budapest, 17 November (Hibya) – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated that the European Union must return to its roots, emphasizing that unity can rise only on the solid foundation of sovereign nations.
Orban said that the EU must return to its roots and that unity can only be built on the strong basis of sovereign states.
He argued that the current model has failed and that the Union is being driven by an imposed “empire” concept from Brussels that no one asked for.
Orban stated: “Hungary will never give up its sovereignty; what we want is cooperation based on respect for sovereignty, not a ‘United States of Europe.’”
