Herzog stated that there is no nobler purpose or more important mission than bringing the hostages home: "Our brothers are being held and tortured by the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Organization. Their lives are increasingly at risk every day, and this is nothing but an ongoing crime against humanity. Bringing the hostages home is the greatest mission."
Herzog emphasized the importance of an international commitment during comprehensive discussions to act with all possible means to release the hostages, leaving no stone unturned, and showing initiative, creativity, and determination using all available tools.
