UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres noted that the security situation in the Sahel is worsening daily. He emphasized that violence and instability are causing immense suffering, adding:
“Today at the Security Council, I said that the world must stand in full solidarity with the people of this region, fully aware of the enormous challenges and suffering they are facing.”
