Guterres: Inequality is not limited to income
New York, April 25 (Hibya) - United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that inequality is not only economic, but also shaped by access to power and opportunities, calling for confronting injustice.
UN Secretary-General Guterres emphasized in his assessment that inequality is not limited to the distribution of income or wealth.
Guterres noted that inequality is directly related to who can access power and who is deprived of this opportunity, pointing out that this deeply affects opportunities in all areas of life.
Stating that the injustice caused by inequality must be confronted, Guterres said, “We can and must confront the injustice of inequality,” calling for the construction of a dignified and sustainable future for all.
