Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

A cable on the cable car line to Monte Faito, located about three kilometers from the town of Castellammare di Stabia in the Bay of Naples, snapped.

The fire department said in a Telegram post: "Four lifeless bodies were found, the fifth injured person was rescued and taken to the hospital," adding that this was the last death.

The president of the Campania region surrounding Naples, Vincenzo De Luca, told Rai that the rescue operations were hindered by fog and strong winds.

More than 50 firefighters participated in the rescue operations.

A cabin carrying 16 passengers was safely lowered near Castellammare. The second cabin was above a cliff on Mount Faito, and the fog delayed the rescue operations.

The cable car had just opened for the summer season, and prosecutors said they had begun an investigation into the accident.
