The statement condemned in the strongest terms the incursions by settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli security forces and led by far-right Israeli ministers, the display of the Israeli flag within the compound, the erection of a tent by Israeli police and other provocative actions.

The statement said these practices constitute a clear violation of international law, United Nations resolutions and the historical and legal status of the holy sites in occupied East Jerusalem. It added that the provocative rhetoric and actions of Israeli ministers and groups fuel hatred and extremism and undermine efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.

The statement argued that restrictions imposed on access to Jerusalem's Old City and places of worship violate international law, stressing that Israel has no sovereignty over occupied Jerusalem or the Islamic and Christian holy sites located there.

The foreign ministers also condemned Israel's practices aimed at changing the historical, legal and demographic character of occupied East Jerusalem, stating that they reject any attempt to alter the historical and legal status of Jerusalem and its holy sites.

The statement further emphasized that the entire Al-Aqsa Mosque compound is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims and that the Jerusalem Waqf Administration, affiliated with Jordan's Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, is the sole authority responsible for administering Al-Aqsa Mosque and regulating access to it.

The ministers called on Israel to lift restrictions on access to the Old City and end practices preventing Muslims from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque. They also urged the international community to take decisive steps to stop Israel's violations and practices targeting Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
