Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen released a joint statement on Greenland.

The statement noted that Arctic security remains a key priority for Europe and is of vital importance for international and transatlantic security.

It further stated: “NATO has clearly identified the Arctic region as one of its priority areas, and European allies are stepping up their efforts accordingly. We, along with many other allies, have strengthened our presence, activities and investments in the region to ensure Arctic security and deter potential threats. The Kingdom of Denmark, which includes Greenland, is part of NATO.”

The statement emphasized that security in the Arctic must be ensured collectively with NATO allies, including the United States, on the basis of the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity and the inviolability of borders enshrined in the United Nations Charter, adding: “These are universal principles and will not be abandoned.”

The joint statement also said:

“The United States, as a NATO ally and within the framework of the defense agreement signed in 1951 between the Kingdom of Denmark and the United States, is an indispensable partner in this process. Greenland belongs to its people. Decision-making authority on matters concerning Denmark and Greenland rests solely with Denmark and Greenland.”
