Kazakhstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Issagaliyev received copies of the credentials of Sameh Shehata, Egypt’s newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kazakhstan.

Issagaliyev congratulated the Egyptian diplomat on his new appointment and expressed confidence that the ambassador’s tenure would give fresh impetus to strengthening the traditionally friendly relations between Astana and Cairo and create new opportunities for cooperation.

Egyptian Ambassador Shehata, for his part, said he would make every effort during his tenure to develop relations between the two countries.

The meeting addressed the main areas of bilateral relations between the two countries. The parties discussed political dialogue, intensifying trade and economic ties, expanding cooperation in tourism and facilitating visa procedures.

The diplomats also agreed to continue joint efforts to deepen interaction within international organizations and in the framework of bilateral relations. The meeting also addressed the organization of reciprocal high-level visits between the two countries.
