Prime Minister Rutte discussed the Middle East with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, stating, "Urgent further support is needed for humanitarian aid for innocent civilians in Gaza. At the same time, we support Israel in reestablishing deterrence against terrorist groups."

Rutte emphasized the need to focus on a sustainable peace where a secure Israel and an independent Palestinian state can coexist. He said:
