Dar inaugurates new consulate building in Jeddah
Jeddah, January 10 (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, inaugurated the new building of Pakistan’s Consulate in Saudi Arabia, stressing that it will see improved services for 1.8 million Pakistanis in western Saudi Arabia.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ambassador Ahmed Farooq, Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani, Saudi officials, members of the Pakistani community, and consular staff.
In his address, Dar praised the consulate’s work, thanked Saudi Arabia for its support, and underscored the government’s commitment to facilitating services for Pakistanis abroad. He also directed that the process of relocating to the new building be initiated.
The ceremony featured the hoisting of the Pakistani flag, tree planting, ribbon-cutting, plaque unveiling, prayers for Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, and a video presentation showcasing the new building’s features.
