Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced the "Strong Canada Team Initiative," a plan to recruit, train, and employ up to 100,000 skilled workers in support of the country's infrastructure and economic development goals.

Carney said, "The Strong Canada Team Initiative is our plan to recruit, train, and employ up to 100,000 skilled workers."

He noted that the workers will take part in critical infrastructure projects such as housing, electricity transmission lines, ports, and railways, adding, "These workers will build the homes, power lines, ports, and railways that will strengthen our economy for decades to come."
