Budrys: Security of the Baltic Sea and the Arctic is interconnected
Vilnius, October 2 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys said after his meeting with Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen in Helsinki that, as NATO allies and European Union partners, they need to strengthen the security of the Baltic Sea region.

Thanking Valtonen for her hospitality and the productive discussion, Budrys said Lithuania and Finland, as NATO allies and European Union partners, are united in the goal of ensuring a secure Baltic Sea region and beyond.
Budrys said Russia continues to test their resolve, adding, “The security of the Baltic Sea and the Arctic is closely interconnected, and our response must be equally interconnected.”
Emphasizing the need to be prepared in the field of security, Budrys said, “We must strengthen NATO, protect critical infrastructure, increase defense production and continue military support for Ukraine.”
Budrys concluded his statement with the words, “Security through strength.”
