Budrys met with EU Commissioner Kubilius
Vilnius, September 18 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys held talks with European Union (EU) Commissioner for Defense and Space, Andrius Kubilius.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Budrys announced that he met with EU Commissioner for Defense and Space Kubilius in Vilnius.
Budrys stressed that Europe’s security begins at its eastern border, adding that turning it into a strong fortress is a common duty of the EU.
He welcomed the allocation of 6.3 billion euros for Lithuania’s defense under the Safe initiative, noting that major projects such as the Baltic Defense Line, the Eastern Shield, and the Drone Wall require permanent EU support.
