Brekelmans: We are preparing a joint military exercise in Greenland
Amsterdam, January 18 (Hibya) – Dutch Minister of Defence Ruben Brekelmans stated that the Arctic region is of strategic importance in terms of security and emphasized the need to increase NATO’s presence in the region.
Brekelmans said, “The Arctic region (including Greenland) is of strategic importance, and this also applies to our security. We all agree that more NATO presence is needed in the High North.”
In this context, Brekelmans added, “That is why we are preparing a joint military exercise in Greenland.”
